GREEN 1594 survey

The Place Name Society lists the street name The Green as 1727, but an area known as The Green was listed in the 1594 survey as shown above.

The 1838 map shows The Green as an area between Church Lane, Silver Street and Fox Hill but some maps show it as including Church Lane.
