	Northfield was a small estate of stone houses built after the arrival of the railway, c.1889. They were mostly semi-detached and linked London Road and Cirencester Road.


			The map on the far left is c.1890 and on the right c.1900. You can see the start of the development with the addition of the first few houses along Northfield Road. Maps reproduced with permission from Gloucestershire Archives
